Global preventive measures

We are constantly focused on our staff health and safety, extending the preventive measures and containment procedures to minimize the risk of workplace transmission in each of our manufacturing facilities producing glass primary packaging, plastic molding solutions, and equipment.

In all our production departments, laboratories, and workshops, we have implemented routine disinfection, readjusted shifts to maintain the interpersonal distance, and provided sanitation supplies in all common areas.

To better respond to the fast-evolving situation, a dedicated Crisis Leadership Team has been created, ensuring that leaders in each department are taking actions in relation to their areas of responsibility and communicate timely in a joint effort to manage the virus outbreak


Glass manufacturing activities

Italy: As per the last National Decree issued on March 22nd, Stevanato Group activities are considered "Essential Business" so we are carrying out production with no interruption from our two manufacturing plants located in Piombino Dese – Padua and Latina. We are deploying all available resources to minimize disruptions to our clients around the world.

Slovakia, Mexico, Brazil, China: As the number of COVID-19 cases is progressively rising in these countries, we have implemented precautionary measures implementing safety distance, hygiene and sanitizing measures in our facilities located in Bratislava, Monterrey, and Sete Lagoas, which are running regularly. The Chinese plant located in Zhangjiagang is fully operative. No production or delivery impacts are foreseen at present.


Plastic injection molding activities

US and Germany: Operations in our two sites in California are continuing regularly with no significant delays. Strict safety measures have been put in place in the case of a few urgent visits from external companies, which could not be deferred.

Our team in Germany is steadily working to ramp up the production of diagnostic test plates used globally for the early COVID-19 detection.



Engineering systems activities

Italy and Denmark: Stevanato Group manufacturing sites producing advanced equipment for the pharmaceutical industry are fully operative, as part of the healthcare and pharmaceutical value chain and therefore considered "Essential Business".

Both in Italy and Denmark, we have implemented the same preventive measures that we are applied globally. We are not estimating any significant production or delivery delays.

Logistics and global transportation

In most European Countries, different controls at the borders are causing delays in land transports. Thanks to the indications provided by the European Commission on March 23rd, we are expecting more homogeneous border controls policies amongst the bloc, resulting in a more efficient goods circulation.

The lockdown enforcement in the US and in India is penalizing logistics services in ports and airports, impacting goods shipment. Our supply chain office is closely monitoring the situation of transportation by land, sea, or air which remains unpredictable. To mitigate disruptions, Stevanato Group keeps using cargo flights or charter services to deliver our products to the most impacted areas.

We are in close contact with our suppliers to secure raw materials, components, and consumables; we don't foresee significant delays or shortage as they have been taking actions to ensure they're part of the supply chain considered "essential business".

Best practices of personal hygiene and behavior to minimize the risk of contagion are regularly communicated to all our staff.

For our office staff, we have extensively adopted remote working, ensuring a minimal office presence to the extent possible. We keep all face-to-face training activities and business meetings largely suspended.

Due to the fast-evolving situation, it is not possible to predict the effects on our global operations and supply chain. We’re working to relocate orders among our plants and mitigating delays, whenever possible. We’re constantly updating our customers. All our staff is committed to ensuring the usual responsiveness, even in this challenging context
