History

2012 -- New trade office in China.

2011 -- EZ-fillTM: industrial production of vials and cartridges.  Doubling of Monterrey plant (vials, cartridges and ampoules).

2010 -- EZ-fillTM: production of vials and cartridges. Winner of "2010 European Prefillable Syringe Product Differentiation Excellence Award".

2008 -- A new production site in Mexico (Ompi of America), start-up in 2008.

2007 -- EZ-fillTM: the new production department for sterile syringes open in Piombino
Dese plant. Take over of Optrel-ltd, a company situated in Vicenza, ITALY, specialized in the manufacturing of inspection machines for the pharmaceutical industry. The addition of this asset further enhance the Group's Engineering Division.

2005 -- Acquisition of Medical Glass (Bratislava - Slovak Republic) specialized in vials and ampoules.

1993 -- Stevanato Group purchases Alfamatic (Latina - Italy). The company produces ampoules, dental and insulinic cartridges in Italy.

1971 -- A second company S.P.A.M.I. is established, which specializes in the design and construction of high-speed precision machines and complete lines for the
production and control of glass tube containers.

1959 -- The company moved to Piombino Dese and from the very beginning is self-sufficient as far as machines and the production of glass tube containers is concerned.

1949 --  The Group's first company (OMPI) is founded and called Soffieria Stella, specialized in the production of glass bottles

1943 -- Giovanni Stevanato starts to dedicate himself to glass blowing.
